Baby Daddy Beatdown: A Magical Review
Wishing these dudes a Happy Father's Day with a heck of their own making <3
Inspired by a fiercely necessary and unapologetic call-out by
of her neglectful and negligent husband, alongside having a bunch of Big Feelings that needed to be transmuted into something productive, I decided to offer a Baby Daddy Beatdown (that’s the working name) service for Father’s Day this year.Disclaimer: Do not attempt to replicate or work off of my notes below if you don't know what you're doing magically, it won't end well, ok? OK. The line between justice work and hexing work is razor thin, and you shouldn't start anything you don't know how to finish, and that includes magically.

Ritual Description
So, to begin, I am working with the Grandmothers (the collective ancestral intelligence of all beingness that has ever existed on Earth) and Juno. Neither is a fan of abusive men, and they both have particular ire for men who fail to provide for the children they've participated in producing, esp. when they indulge in misogyny and patriarchal fuckery. We ain't doin' that. Therefore, they are excellent patrons of this work.
(1) All of their names are gonna be inscribed on a bay leaf (representing their peace and victory in life) that is blessed and consecrated in their name.
(2) This is a multi-layered multiplier work. The more they resist, the more they act like douches, the worse it gets. They act swiftly to honor their responsibilities & obligations to themselves and others, even as ancestors...the spellwork stops.
(3) Stage One: Tasting the salt of the tears they helped shed // I keep a separate spirit bowl for the Grandmothers, and her grounding is primarily salt. The first layer of the work is ensuring that it every time they go to enjoy anything at all, all they can taste - literally, figuratively - is salt, from all of the tears that they've caused with their actions. The wish is that they can enjoy nothing, not a singular fucking thing, until they take sincere steps to repair for their harm.
4) Stage Two: Burning through their favours // Bay leaves, as I mentioned, represent victory, luck, and peace of mind, and are regularly used in success and money workings. They are also used to prepare khernips, which is a type of ritual cleansing water. Once I've let the bay leaves sit in salt for a bit, I will light the tip of them on fire and drop them into some arshaan (holy water) hibiscus tea. I will ask Juno to burn away their good luck and peace of mind, that she whispers in the ear of everyone they meet of their bad deeds and discourage them from offering friendship or quarter/support of any kind, and to use this burned luck as fuel to cleanse, clear, and create flow + good luck in the lives of the people whose tears he tastes. I will pour the hibiscus tea out behind our apartment to the land, and ask the spirits of the land and the ancestors to receive good luck on the behalf of those these men have harmed.
5) Stage Three: Grandmother Gator // If by this point any of these aforementioned cats refuse to get the picture, the final stage of this work is turning them over directly to the She Who Guards The Dead And Unborn. The other part of her spirit bowl is a taxidermied gator head. I will burn and crush up the bay leaves and mix them with beeswax harvested from graves in New Orleans, some of the salt, along with some Heart of the Emperor Scorpio & Swamp Gator -- as well as a single drop of my Mother Algol oil -- materia from S+S sundry, and place them in Her mouth. I will ask Her to drag them down in life, to fill their sleep with nightmares of their misdeeds and ill character, to confront them at every turn with the harrowing consequences and realities of their actions as a final 'act right or that's it'...and well...I'll let her decide what to do from there. Actions will meet consequences if changes are not made.
Annnnnnnnd that's it. May the odds be ever in the favour of a timely child support cheque and some on-their-knees begging for forgiveness, Gd willing.
Thank you for giving me an outlet for channeling some rage and grief productively, I'm honored to be of service
